Will the Church be Affected by Wall street?
In recent days we have heard that economic hard times are here, and are about to crash our economic system, calling for a complete overhaul. Mortgage lenders are trembling, banks are either merging or filing bankruptcy, and people are scrambling around for answers to the economic fiasco. What ever the problem is in the world system, it will not prevail against the Kingdom of God.
We must pray for our nation and the leaders who make the economic decisions that will ultimately affect us all, one way, or another.
Perhaps a family member may lose their job as a result of the fallout on Wall Street, or perhaps they are faced with a foreclosure on their home, whatever the situation may be, Jesus is still the answer. We are warned in the Word of God concerning these times.
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. Lk. 21:25-26
God does not operate on the world system principals, but on His Own Economic Plan for the children of the kingdom. His plan does not depend on Wall Street or Main Street for prosperity, but God has His own supernatural plan for economics. Here are just a few lines of His Policies.
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. Deut 8:18
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matt 16:18
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38
These are only a few lines of promise from God’s policies, but God’s Kingdom will never end and His will be done. We can rest in the Lord and trust in Him also that He delivers us in these times of economic uncertainty.
